The National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET) is held yearly to help students secure admission to the top medical institutions in India. In 2017, more than 11 lakh candidates gave NEET 2017 in 103 cities.
-All major dental and medical colleges offer students admission on the basis of their NEET scores, excluding AIIMS and JIPMER
-There are 63,985 medical seats in private, central and state-funded institutions under NEET
-The examination is conducted in 10 different languages: English, Hindi, Tamil, Telugu, Marathi, Bengali, Assamese, Gujarati, Oriya and Kannada

MHT - CET is conducted by the Department of Technical Education, Maharashtra
-It facilitates admission to full time degree courses of health sciences and technical education in colleges of Maharashtra.
-It includes courses like: Engineering and Technology, Pharmacy and Pharm. D.
